Judge us on what we do, not what we say

Guides and Resources for Your Career

What people notice when recruitment is done properly

Recruitment is full of big claims. Everyone says they’re different. Everyone says they care.

We’ve always preferred something simpler.

Our motto is: judge us on what we do, not what we say.

So rather than talking about our values again, we looked at what people actually say after working with us. Not just the star rating, but the words and behaviours that come up again and again.

We’re still early as a business. But we’ve made a start. And this is what that start looks like in practice.

Getting back to people matters

This is one of our non-negotiables. If someone gives their time, effort or trust, they deserve a response.

It’s striking how often this shows up in feedback:

“Regularly checked in to see if I needed anything ahead of interviews.”

“Consistently kept me up to date throughout the entire process.”

“Provided feedback after the final stage, which was kind and well structured.”

In an industry where silence has become normal, simply keeping people informed stands out, even when the answer is no.

Support shouldn’t stop when things get difficult

Several of these comments came from people who didn’t get the role. That matters to us:

“Although the application did not result in an offer, I really appreciated the guidance, support, and professionalism throughout.”

“I’m only saddened I didn’t need it in the end.”

Doing the right thing isn’t just about positive outcomes. It’s about how you handle the disappointing ones too.

Preparation beats pressure

Another clear theme is clarity and preparation:

“Providing clear, detailed information about the role and organisation.”

“Sharing useful context like interview briefs and interviewer profiles.”

“All the information I needed to feel confident and prepared.”

Good recruitment isn’t about pressure. It’s about making sure people know what they’re walking into.

A human experience still matters

This one’s harder to measure, but it comes through clearly:

“Support felt genuinely authentic rather than transactional.”

“Easy to talk to, listens to you, isn’t pushy.”

“A breath of fresh air.”

We’re not trying to be everyone’s best friend. But we are trying to be decent.

Consistency over claims

The most reassuring thing isn’t any single review. It’s how similar the feedback is across different people, roles and situations.

Words like clear, supportive, responsive, professional and honest come up again and again. That tells us these behaviours aren’t accidental — they’re consistent.

Where this leaves us

We’re not claiming to be the best. We’re not pretending to have everything figured out.

But we are committed to doing the work properly, making things better, being decent always, and getting back to people.

These reviews don’t mean we’re finished. They mean we’re heading in the right direction.

If you’ve worked with us, you don’t need to take our word for it.

If you haven’t yet, hold us to the motto. 😉
