Some charities you only hear about when life takes an
unexpected turn. Babies in Buscot Support (BIBS) is one of those charities.
Unless you or someone close to you, has had a baby that has spent time in the
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Royal Berkshire Hospital, you might not
even know they exist, but for families who need them, BIBS is nothing short of
life-changing.
For Peri, one of our co-founders, BIBS were there at the most difficult and vulnerable time of her life, before she even realised she needed them.
The NICU
can be overwhelming: the sound of monitors, the uncertainty of each new hour,
and the helplessness parents often feel. In those moments, BIBS stepped in
quietly and compassionately. They provided care, comfort, and reassurance, often
in ways Peri didn’t even realise at the time. Most importantly, their work
played a vital role in helping to save her son’s life.
This is why our partnership with BIBS is deeply personal. At Reggie & Cole,
we’re proud to not only fundraise for BIBS but also pledge a percentage of our
profits each year to sustain their vital work. Beyond financial support, we’re
committed to giving our time, energy, and expertise to help however we can.
We live by our motto: “Trust what we do, not just what we say.” Supporting BIBS is one way we bring that to life.
Who are BIBS?
BIBS is a charity created and run by parents who know the NICU journey
firsthand. They’ve felt the fear of seeing a baby surrounded by wires and
machines, the exhaustion of sleepless nights, and the hope that comes from the
smallest milestones, a steady heartbeat, a first feed, a few precious grams
gained.
Their mission is simple but powerful: to give every baby admitted to Buscot
Ward the best possible start in life, and to make sure families feel supported
through one of the most challenging times they will ever face.
Their work focuses on four key areas:
Support – Providing emotional and practical
help for families in the NICU, from small comforts to peer networks.
Awareness – Raising public understanding of premature birth and
neonatal care, helping families feel less isolated.
Facilities – Improving the spaces where parents spend long,
anxious hours, making the ward a more welcoming place.
Equipment – Funding life-saving technology that directly impacts survival rates and recovery for fragile newborns.
Why This Matters to Us
We know that not everyone will need BIBS, but for those who do, the
difference they make is immeasurable. It’s about more than equipment or
facilities, it’s about hope, dignity, and care when families are at their most
vulnerable.
We believe business should be about more than just profit. It should be about
responsibility, empathy, and giving back to the communities that support us.
Partnering with BIBS allows us to stand behind these values in a tangible way.
Every project we deliver, every client we serve, and every milestone we hit now
helps fuel a cause that has already touched our lives so profoundly.
How You Can Help
We’re proud to stand alongside BIBS and the families they support, but this
is a journey that needs many hands. If you’d like to get involved, whether
through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness — every action makes a
difference.
