Software Engineer | Sunbury-on-Thames | Hybrid  | Salary: Up to £50,000

We’ve partnered with an established business as they look to hire a C++ Software Engineer into their growing development team.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with anywhere from 6 months to 5 years of experience who wants to build solid engineering foundations, work alongside good developers, and progress quickly in a supportive environment. The focus is on hands-on C++ development, with the chance to broaden your skillset over time and pick up additional languages such as Rust and Go as you grow.

What you’ll need

• Commercial experience with C++ or Rust
• Comfortable using Git
• Exposure to working in a Linux environment
• Experience working with tools like Jira / Bitbucket (or similar)
• A genuine interest in improving, learning, and building quality software

What you’ll be doing

• Writing, improving, and maintaining C++ code, moving towards Rust and Go.
• Debugging and resolving issues in existing systems
• Contributing to a collaborative engineering environment
• Learning new tools, technologies, and languages as your role develops
