Engineering Leader / Tech Delivery Manager
Location: London – 1-2 days a week onsite
Salary: £75,000

I’m currently partnering with a growing consultancy client who are looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Leader / Tech Delivery Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality technology solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership position within a small, close-knit engineering function (team size under 12). The successful candidate will combine strong technical credibility with excellent delivery management capability — someone who can lead from the front while ensuring smooth, predictable delivery across multiple initiatives.

The Role

You will act as the bridge between engineering, product, and stakeholders, ensuring the team is aligned, focused, and consistently delivering value. This role would suit a technically-minded Scrum Master or Delivery Manager who has experience managing engineers in a smaller organisation where adaptability and ownership are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small engineering team (under 12 engineers)
• Drive delivery across multiple concurrent projects and priorities
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and champion best practice (Scrum/Kanban)
• Remove blockers and create an environment for high performance
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to manage expectations and timelines
• Support technical decision-making while maintaining delivery focus
• Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering processes

What Their Looking For

• Proven experience as a Tech Delivery Manager, Engineering Manager, or Scrum Master in a small-to-mid-sized organisation
• Strong technical background with the ability to engage engineers credibly
• Demonstrable experience managing engineering teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Practical experience implementing and scaling Agile frameworks
• Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day delivery execution
